Short on Lovers & Music

Like most people I have a special relationship with music. I heard somewhere that nothing's quite as emotionally evocative as music. I theorize that's why some movies  (Independence Day, Love Story, Glee) seem so heavy handed with the soundtrack. Music can fix a shitty story-line by filling the logical gaps with emotional glue. So, the poorer the storytelling the more extravagant, recognizable and "easy" the music. I. e., any funeral can be made touching with a excellent rendition of Amazing Grace.

I remember my lovers for the music they introduced.

Blue Eyed Boy from Uni: Live, T: Pink Floyd, Frank: Damien Rice, Amos Lee, Jason Mraz, Mumford and Sons, Ted: Lowest of the Low, FH (first husband): Nine Inch Nails...

Then there is music I listened to because of lovers: T: John Coltrane, Frank: 2pac, Kanye West, Akon, D: South American pan flutes.... Right now, I am listening to music from my Country of Origin because my latest lover -- who seems to already have exited my life -- is fascinated with Country of Origin.

I am not sure why, but I get very hurt when someone forgets I introduced a particular artist to him or her. For example, Both Ted and Frank had especially revisionist memories. They'd tell me about music I'd told them about.
